| Yukon (SQL Server 2005) is the new version of SQL Server. There are several new and improved features promised in this new version. These include integration into the Common Language Runtime of the .NET Framework which allows stored procedures, triggers and User-Defined Functions to be written in any .NET language. Also, the capability to define your own data types such as a data type called “Phone Number” which would include formatting and validations. There is a new XML data type that allows storing of XML documents directly into the database with some powerful querying capabilities. Each of these new features will be introduced during this session.
