He is a frequent speaker at conferences in North America and Europe on database techniques such as data warehousing and mining, client server application development and large systems architectures. He often demonstrates database technologies on behalf of Microsoft Canada at technical and non-technical events such as Comdex, Developer Days, and MSDN technical summits. One of the top Data Warehouse developers in Canada, Val Matison was listed in the Who’s Who 2000 edition of Channel Business Magazine. He is currently working on a book on Business Analytics using SQL 2005 to be published in the spring of 2005.
