Dear Uwe,
After loading my VFX program and showing the VFXMenu I open a background
form over the top of my Desktop picture. I could find no alternative to
using just the standard Form from VFP.
When the application times out it comes up with a messagebox saying “Cannot
Quit Visual FoxProâ€
Is there something I should change on my background for to make timeout
work?

This is not a feature of VFX. However, you can do this programmaically. Edit
the timeout time in Vfxusr.scx and store the value in Vfxusr.dbf. In
onpostlogin set goprogram.napplicationtimeout.
